Charles Amherst Villiers was a personal  personal friend of Ian Fleming. Villiers began an unorthodox career in design engineering by improving Brescia Bugattis, and developed superchargers for Bentley and Rolls Royce. He designed the Napier-Camphell Bluebird(1927). He became a portrait painter in New York.
